I love thee as thou lov’st me
At dusk as well as dawn.
A single day we’ve yet to see
Without troubles to be borne.
And these we found, for thee and me,
Shared, easier to bear;
Heartened in my distress by thee,
I soothed thee in thy care.
God send His blessing unto thee
To whom I’ve plight’d my troth,
